A product of Inter’s academy, Casadei has yet to make his Serie A debut.

He was the best player and top goal scorer in the latest U20 World Cup with Italy’s national team, which saw the Azzurrini lose the final against Uruguay.

During his time in England, Casadei also played for Reading and Leicester City on loan.

He returned to Stamford Bridge exactly a year ago when the Blues terminated his loan spell with the Foxes.

Casadei has signed a contract until June 2029 at the Stadio Grande Torino.

The Granata’s next game is against Genoa on February 8.

The two parties are now finalising the terms of the deal and a medical will then take place.

Casade will become Torino’s second signing of the January transfer window, following the arrival of Eljif Elmas from RB Leipzig on Thursday.
