Florian Wertz is out of Germany’s squad for the 2022 World Cup. As the 19-year-old football midfielder is still out of action following a serious injury sustained since March.

Germany coach Hansi Flick has revealed the reason for excluding Florian Wertz from the World Cup squad. Because the 19-year-old midfielder of Leverkusen Not fit enough to play in the tournament, according to a report from ‘Sport1’ on Friday.

Although Flick favors Wertz in the No 10 role, the 19-year-old midfielder is not ready for a major tournament. Meanwhile, the Germany national team coach also has several potential candidates for the position, including Thomas Muller, Jamal Musiala and Kai Havertz.
